With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Product Development Engineering from the University of Southern California, USA, his academic background shaped a strategic shift from product engineering to immersive experience development. This transition built his core belief that impactful design must inspire emotionally while functioning seamlessly within operational and commercial realities.
He has led and contributed to projects across 12+ Indian states and international markets, spanning museums, theme parks, Family Entertainment Centers (FECs), science galleries, and integrated leisure destinations. His expertise includes concept development, master planning, exhibit strategy, attraction design, technical integration, tender documentation, and execution planning.
Smit approaches every project with a balance of creativity, engineering precision, and investor-focused evaluation — ensuring destinations are strategically planned, operationally efficient, commercially viable, and built for long-term sustainability.
