Peach Prime Consultancy cofounder Pooja Shah will take the stage at the World Amusement and Attractions Development Summit, TAAPE 2026, in Bangkok on 30 October 2026. Her session, Beyond the FEC: Designing Memories, Driving Dwell Time, looks at why some venues stay in a guest’s memory for years, and how operators can design for longer and richer visits.
The talk is built on a simple idea. Operators choose the equipment. Guests choose the memory. And the difference between a good day out and one a child still talks about weeks later is almost never the ride itself.
The talk walks the audience through three parts, built around the memory of a childhood fair that nobody present has ever quite forgotten.
Pooja opens with a short story about a family that spends three hours at a brand new entertainment centre and whose six year old names the hand dryer as the best part. From there she introduces the peak and end rule from behavioural psychology and explains why the final ten minutes of any visit shape the story a guest carries home. The design implication is clear. Create a recognisable peak. Protect the departure experience.
The second part sets out five drivers that together decide how long a group stays inside a venue.
Each driver removes a different reason for a group to leave early. The fair most of us remember from childhood had all five in a single dusty field, and that is the standard the session argues for.
The final part gives operators three practical moves they can test immediately with the equipment they already have.
The talk is written for FEC operators, theme park developers, mall and resort owners, museum teams, and investors who are planning a new venue or refreshing an existing one. The ideas apply to any venue where guests arrive as a group, stay for a few hours, and decide at some point whether to stay longer or go home.
Pooja Shah is the cofounder of Peach Prime Consultancy. She leads strategy and design on theme park, FEC, museum and adventure park projects across India and the wider region. Her work focuses on planning the whole visit before choosing the equipment, so that play, food, seating and programming all pull in the same direction. She is a frequent voice in the Indian entertainment design industry on dwell time, guest experience and the shift from attraction led venues to experience led destinations.
Peach Prime is an entertainment design consultancy based in India with projects in more than fourteen Indian states. The team plans theme parks, FECs, museums and adventure parks, with a focus on guest experience, dwell time and commercial outcomes. The practice is known for designing venues as living destinations that change by hour, audience and season.
Representative capabilities include concept and master planning, zoning and flow design, food and seating integration, programming calendars, event rooms, workshop formats, and the design of social gaming bays that combine a game, a table and a group in a single space.
Pooja and the Peach Prime team will be available at the summit for conversations about new venue plans, master planning briefs, repositioning projects and workshop or event programming. Operators who want to book a time at the summit, or share a brief in advance, can email info@peachprime.in or visit peachprime.in.
For those who cannot attend in person, a short write up of the talk, including the five drivers and the three ideas, will be published on the Peach Prime blog in the week after the summit.
